Board Vacancy Announcement
The City of Glenns Ferry has one (1) vacancy for representatives on the Library Board. Along with other responsibilities detailed in Idaho Code, the Library Board has the responsibility to establish policies and rules of use for the governance of the library; to establish, locate, maintain and have custody of library to serve the city, and to provide suitable rooms, structures, facilities, etc. for library service; and control expenditures of money budgeted for the library.
The Library Board of Trustees consists of five (5) trustees appointed by the mayor and council, from among city residents.
- Ability to function within a group;
- Ability to communicate effectively and form positive working relationships with others;
- Willingness and ability to work cooperatively with other board members, city staff, and the public to achieve the goals of the board.
